Sintes and Zamora beat Momo and Campagnolo and will play their first Major round of 16

On Monday, in Kuwait, they beat Momo González and Lucas Campagnolo, the eighth seeds. 6-4, 3-6, 7-5.

Two hours and twenty minutes.

It's the first time either of them has reached the round of 16 at a Major.

One game from going home

The match was in the balance until the very end.

In the third set, Momo and Campagnolo served at 5-4. For the match.

Sintes and Zamora broke them. Held their own serve. And broke again.

Three games in a row. 7-5.

One stat sums it up: each pair won 50% of the points in the match.

Four weeks ago it went the other way

For Sintes, this was no new opponent.

On 1 October, in the round of 16 at the Rotterdam P2, he lost to Momo and Campagnolo: 6-4, 7-5. Back then he was playing with José Antonio Diestro.

With Diestro he reached the round of 16 at three tournaments in a row: Rotterdam, Düsseldorf and Milan. All three times, that's where it ended.

Kuwait is the fourth in a row. The first at a Major.

Together again

Sintes and Zamora already knew what winning together feels like: in August they took a FIP Silver title in Finland.

In Premier Padel, this is their first tournament as a pair.

On Sunday, in their opening match, they beat Mario del Castillo and Nacho Vilariño (6-2, 6-3). Vilariño is the partner Zamora won the FIP Silver in Guimarães with in September.

They are now guaranteed at least 180 points in the season race.

On Wednesday, García and Ruiz

In the round of 16 they face Javier García and Álex Ruiz.

Kuwait keeps delivering surprises. On Sunday it was Abud and Belluati, who came through qualifying and came back from a set down.

One kid from Mahón, another from Osuna. Both in the round of 16 at a Major.
